ECOLOGIST - DUBLIN
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is an award winning international engineering consultancy,
currently undergoing rapid growth.
The successful candidate will work with our existing ecology,
environmental, landscape, masterplanning, and planning project teams
on a wide range of interesting projects throughout Ireland.
The role offers significant potential for professional development and
advancement, while working on a wide range of projects for both
private and public sector clients.
REQUIREMENTS
A post-graduate degree in ecology, botany or a related discipline
Associate/Full CIEEM membership and working towards chartership
(preferably CEnv or CEcol)
A minimum of 3 years *; varied experience in a
similar consultancy role in Ireland
Proven ecological field skills and an ability to undertake standard
habitat surveys and mapping in line with Fossit/Phase 1 Habitat Survey
A terrestrial ecology specialism such as botanical survey/breeding
bird survey and a working knowledge of other ecological fields
A strong understanding of relevant policy and legislation,
particularly in Irish and European legislation and case law
Experience of ecological mitigation design and implementation.
Experience of coordination with landscape design and long-term site
development management is desirable
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) experience
